About the Company

MacDowell's Flower Shop has been proudly serving customers in Grand Ledge and the Lansing area since 1976. Owner, Bruce MacDowell, originally opened a small shop in the heart of Grand Ledge and became very involved in the community. The Grand Ledge Area Chamber of Commerce soon recognized him as businessman of the year.

Bruce then expanded the business to include fireplaces and wood stoves. In 1994, MacDowell's moved down the block to the current location and now handle a full line of fireplaces in addition to a full service flower shop. Our professional staff is dedicated to making your floral experience a pleasant one. We are commited to offering only the finest and freshest floral products available, backed by superior service that is friendly and prompt. We are open Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 5:30PM, and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. We are closed on Sundays.

Delivery Policy

Our delivery fees vary by location from $8.00 to $20.00. U.S. orders must be received before 12:00 noon in the recipient's time zone to assure same-day delivery. Orders received after that time will be delivered the following day. We will do our best to accommodate morning or afternoon requests, but we cannot guarantee it. We are unable to make deliveries on Sundays. Deliveries requested on this day will be delivered the following business day. Delivery of orders to rural route addresses or cemeteries cannot be guaranteed.  All fruit, chocolate, and specialized baskets need at least 24 hour notice before being delivered, we cannot deliver these items the same day as ordered.

Substitution Policy

Occasionally, substitutions may be necessary to create your arrangements due to the availability of certain flowers. Care is taken to maintain the style, theme and color scheme of the arrangement, using flowers of equal value.

Additionally, the substitution of certain keepsake items may be necessary due to increased demand, especially during major holidays. In single-flower arrangements, such as an all rose bouquet, or orchids, we will make every attempt to match the flower type, but may substitute with another color.

Some tropical and specialty flowers may require at least 48 hours notice to obtain. Please call for availability.
